Academic Transcripts Policy
- In compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the College does not release student records except upon the student鈥檚 written and signed request or via an online electronic request through the student鈥檚 Banner self-service account.
- Official transcripts are sent to institutions, companies, agencies, etc. after the student has completed an online electronic request through the student鈥檚 Banner self-service account. NOTE: Transcripts will not be faxed to an individual or a receiving institution.
- Official transcripts will be accepted when delivered 鈥渂y hand鈥. The transcript must be official and in a sealed envelope with the seal unbroken. The College reserves the right to deny hand delivered transcripts if the seal is broken.
- Official transcripts not released specifically to institutions, companies, agencies, etc. will be stamped 鈥淚SSUED TO STUDENT.鈥 Students should be aware that the receiving party has the right to decline the transcript stamped 鈥淚SSUED TO STUDENT.鈥
- Transcript requests should be made at least one week before the transcripts are needed. Processing times will be longer at the start and end of each term.
- Transcripts will not be issued for persons who have financial obligations to the College.
-
All students who attended prior to 2000 will need to contact the Office of Admissions and Registrar for transcript processing instructions.
-
The Office of Admissions and Enrollment Services does not issue or reproduce transcripts from other institutions. Requests for transcripts or work taken at other institutions must be directed to the institution concerned.
High School Students
Dual Enrollment and Accelerated High School are programs which allow eligible high school students to enroll in college classes concurrently with high school classes, either at the college campus or at the high school, and receive both high school and college credit. The courses available are determined by the contract with the high school system.
-
Review options and deadlines. If the withdrawal from school is within 2 weeks after the start of class, the student may be due a tuition refund (see Refund Policy under the Policies and Procedures section of the Catalog). Any veteran who withdraws from school may be required to repay in full to the Veteran Administration benefits received that semester up to the time of withdrawal.
Students who withdraw after the registration period will have each of their courses recorded as “W”. W’s are not used in grade point calculations.
